Solar Seam replaces your roof with an integrated solar roof: steel standing-seam panels, some of them carrying solar cells, seamed into one weather-tight surface. No racks bolted through the roof. One crew and one contract, from design and permits to the utility hookup.

Two essentials. One roof.
Conventional solar bolts panels onto a roof you already paid for: two products, two trades, two schedules. An integrated roof does both jobs at once. Panels with solar cells and matching plain steel panels join at standing seams into one surface.
It makes the most sense when the roof is due anyway. If yours has ten good years left, we will tell you so.

What doesn't change
Whichever system goes on, the job is ours
The manufacturers make the panels. Everything between your old roof and a working array is Solar Seam's.
Design
We lay out the active area from your roof planes, shade and twelve months of usage, not from how much roof there is.
Permits
Building, electrical and utility paperwork. For historic districts we prepare the drawings and samples a commission asks for. We never promise an approval.
One contract
Roofing and electrical scopes under one contract: one schedule, one point of contact, no handoff between a roofer and a solar company.
Workmanship
Our crew's work is warranted in writing in your contract, on top of the manufacturer's product and power warranties.

Built for how New England weather behaves
Nor'easters, ice dams, heavy snow and wide temperature swings. Each system's tested ratings are on its own page; we never average them into one number.
Snow load
A structural engineer sets the design snow and wind loads for your town and your roof. We check the chosen system against them before we propose it.
Ice dams
Ice dams are an underlayment and ventilation problem. We detail the eaves and valleys to each manufacturer's instructions and local code, and keep the air moving under the panels.
Shedding snow
A metal roof sheds snow in sheets. We plan where it lands, over doors, walks and lower roofs, before the layout is final.

Both systems, labeled honestly
Roofit Velario® has several US installations. Every photo on this site says which system it shows and who took it, and we never present a manufacturer photo as our own work.
We identify our own projects by town only, and only with the owner's written OK. Our first SolRoof FIT VOLT projects are in preparation; it has not yet been installed in the US.
Incentives
What still pays, and for whom
The federal picture changed at the end of 2025. State programs carry most of the value for homeowners now. Rates change; eligibility must be verified.
Homeowners
The federal residential credit (Section 25D) ended December 31, 2025. A system you own on your home earns no federal credit now. State programs still pay for production in most of our service area.
State programs
Connecticut's RRES tariff, Massachusetts SMART, New York's state tax credit, New Jersey's SREC-II and others. Each works differently. Rates change; eligibility must be verified.
Churches and nonprofits
Tax-exempt owners can still receive the federal credit as a direct payment. For a project starting now, the system must be placed in service by December 31, 2027. Confirm with your tax advisor.
